1️⃣ Expect to blow up over night
Sounds naive saying it now, however, we fully expected when we first launched that we’d sell out over night ???? We’d put in so much work and effort into the business, you just expect that when you launch, customers will come flooding in.
Unfortunately this isn’t the case and it takes a lot of grit and determination. When your business isn’t selling its products, don’t give up, you just have to reevaluate and work out what you could do better and how you can get the right audience to see your products so that you’ll start selling. Or maybe its time to reevaluate your products, why aren’t they selling, what would make people want your product?
Every failure take as a lesson not as a mistake learn from it and grow ???? “Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly.” – Robert F. Kennedy
2️⃣ Don’t compare yourself to massive brands ????
They’ve been established for years, you’re not going to become like them overnight. By all means use them as inspiration, however don’t be disheartened that your website, posts, photography etc aren’t at the same standard, they will have a massive team of professionals after all you’re just an amateur.
Instead compare yourself to other start up businesses see what they’re doing that is successful and learn from them
“Don’t compare your weaknesses to someone else’s strengths.”
3️⃣ Don’t get intimidated by thinking you need a big budget to start ????
Many people think that to start you need thousands and thousands of pounds ????
In reality you only need enough money to buy stock, the rest is just time and dedication. ???? Once you’ve started selling a few products then you can start investing in more things like trademarking and other bits.
We’ve recently invested in a Heat press as the next stage of our journey so we can start making our products from scratch. This means we will be able to soon bring out more designs and items like joggers which we couldn’t do before.
