YOU NEED CONTRACTS FOR YOUR INFLUENCERS
This first one, was such a big wake up call to us. When you commit to giving away free
garments to influencers for them to promote, you NEED signed contracts. ???? This will protect you, and if anything, give your promoter a little bit more commitment to their promotion. There are A LOT of people on instagram, who are in the game for free items, and really do not give a shit about promoting you nor your brand. Be careful. We’ve had people receive garments and not hold up their side of the deal, we’ve even had a couple receive the garment and block us ???? ????
It’s really disheartening for smaller businesses to have this happen to them, especially when you trust them. However, you live and you learn. Protect yourself, and ensure you have signed contracts between you and your influencers to ensure this doesn’t happen in the future!
PART 2
ORDERING AT THE WRONG TIME⌛️
Theres been a few instances where we’ve rushed into buying stock at the wrong time, for example, purchasing 100 tee’s in autumn. It’s obvious that in the colder months, especially in the UK, we’re not going to be rushing to grab our t shirts. For small businesses, it means you have to store stock, which takes up valuable space, especially if you only have a small working space. Be strategic about what you’re buying, when you’re buying it, and how much of it you’re buying. The last thing you need is hundreds of pounds in materials just sitting there waiting to be turned into profits.
