1. BE DIFFERENT
You need to stand out from your competitors, so offer your customers something that other clothing brands may not necessarily do. For example, with our garms, we sent personal thank you cards to each and every one of our clients to personally thank them for shopping with us. It adds value to our customers and shows them how much they mean to us as a small growing business. We also offer our customers free advice on how to start their own brands, something that a lot of people would not be willing to give away
2. STAY ON BRAND
Choose your niche, and stick with it. If your target audience is teenagers, then spend time observing what they like, what they engage in on social media, what apps they’re using. You need to market as if you’re a member of your target market. For example, our target market is mainly teenagers, and our brand represents an edgy, young brand. Therefore, with our marketing, we tend to use monochrome colour palettes with graffiti style elements. Stick with what you know.
3. BELIEVE IN YOUR BRAND
Building a brand, often takes a long time to become established. You need to have full faith behind your brand that you have the ability to make it. It may take you a while to gain a following, but that is okay. Stay consistent with content, post regularly on social media and believe in yourself that you can do this.
